Description

Join us October 8th at 8:30 a.m., as Roundtable leader Jim Devine welcomes Ed Riegl, the High Center's regional managing director for Berks County and the Main Line Region. Ed brings more than 35 years of finance experience helping entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses navigate growth, credit, and succession.

Session Overview:
This session invites small business owners, entrepreneurs, and operational leaders to share their own experiences in an open, peer-driven conversation facilitated by Ed. Drawing on the High Center's proven framework, Ed will guide the discussion through four lenses that shape how the Center supports area businesses:

  • The power of executive peer groups as a structured, confidential sounding board for real decisions
  • The role of diagnostic surveys in surfacing readiness gaps before they become costly problems
  • The often-overlooked emotional and strategic work of succession and legacy planning
  • How the High Center's model is expanding to serve nonprofits and businesses beyond its traditional membership

Whether you're navigating a leadership transition, looking to build stronger accountability into your decision-making, or simply want to learn from peers facing similar challenges, this roundtable offers a candid, practical exchange grounded in real-world experience.

About Ed Riegl:
Ed brings more than 35 years of experience in finance, with a career dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and closely held family businesses. He helped launch a specialty financing company and later led credit consulting practices at CBIZ and CLA, overseeing teams of loan facility auditors. At the High Center, he guides business owners through executive peer groups, best-practice education, and legacy planning — an approach grounded in asking meaningful questions and focusing on long-term goals. Beyond his professional work, Ed has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Main Line Chamber of Commerce and The Timothy School for Autistic Children, reflecting his deep commitment to community impact.
