HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry (PA Chamber) has submitted formal public comments to the Allegheny County Board of Health opposing the proposed amendment to Article XXIV that would mandate up to 18 weeks of employer-funded paid leave.
In its submission, the PA Chamber outlines significant concerns with the proposal’s scope, cost, and potential impact on Pennsylvania employers, particularly small and mid-sized businesses.
“This proposal would position Allegheny County as In its eighth consecutive year, the St. Luke’s Summer Meals Program will be providing free lunches in Allentown and Quakertown to ensure every school-age child has access to nutritious meals during the summer months.St. Luke’s Community Health Department launched the Summer Meals program in response to the Network’s Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), which showed that more than half of students in the Allentown and Quakertown Community School Districts are eligible for free and reduced meals during St. Luke’s University Health Network has been named one of the nation’s 15 Top Health Systems®, recognized by Modern Healthcare based on an objective quantitative analysis conducted by Premier, Inc.
The annual study evaluates health system performance across clinical outcomes, operational efficiency and patient experience to identify organizations delivering consistent, balanced and sustainable high performance.
